The First Stop Motion Pictures
One day he was searching and watching Lego Ninjago series on Youtube with my cell phone and ran to me and showed the Lego stop motion pictures. I thought it was good for him to watch and subscribed it. Since he watched a few of them, he became a big fan of it and watched them over and over again, especially weekends because it is rule to play with my cell phone only weekends. A few weeks later he wondered how to make it and wanted make a stop motion pictures by himself it it is possible. I thought it would never be happened until he grew up like 10 or 11 years old. However, I didn't want to let him down, so I taught him the basic of it because I made a few similar stuff when I was young as well. It were 'a rocket launch' and 'Road runner' to show a little characters were moving on the side of book as far as I remember. I drew a character on the side of book on each pages in a little different spot from previous page and then flipping pages faster and it looked like animation. I waved my bare hand and took a few pictures during it was changed its shape and explained him it looked like an animation or movie if each pictures were showed faster enough. That was it. After that, everything went back to normal as before.
Taught him the basic of stop motion pictures with waving hand.
The Zombie
A Stop Motion Pictures
Executive Producer, Director, Story, Picture-taking : Mathew Park
Animator : Jae Park
I animated as my boy wanted and told me one more thing while we were watching it together. At the end the boy's face changed to different color and this was the proof of becoming zombie. I was shocked that he had thought about such a detail.
Never found before he told me.
Never found before he told me.
I hope he keeps his interest in anything he wants and having such a strong driving force.
Sonny, I will be always with you!!
